"We did get always a few complaints from people that they wanted to see a little bit more, which we were obviously very excited about," Project Runway host Heidi Klum told The Associated Press in a Tuesday report.

"So now we have half an hour more."

In addition to longer broadcasts, Project Runway will set a record this season, as Klum said three contestants collapsed on the show's set.

"We never had that happen before," she told The AP.

The eighth season is the third Project Runway edition produced under the five-year, 10-season deal Lifetime Networks and The Weinstein Company inked in April 2008 to bring the former Bravo series to Lifetime.

Bravo's NBC Universal parent company subsequently sued Lifetime and The Weinstein Company, causing the broadcast of Project Runway's first Lifetime edition to be delayed until August 2009.

A Lifetime spokeswoman had no comment on how Project Runway's new 90-minute format will impact Models of the Runway, the 30-minute companion show that had debuted with Project Runway's sixth season and aired immediately after its broadcasts.
