The 21-year-old singer, whose first musical single has sold more than 50,000 copies, told The Mail on Sunday her victory Saturday on the reality TV series was a dream come true.

"I'm just shocked. It's unbelievable," she confessed. "I feel like my dream has come true, the dream I've been dreaming since a little girl has come true."

"X Factor" host Simon Cowell said that the "A Moment Like This" singer, who is now the first woman to ever win the ITV series, will now take her time making a quality debut album.

"Leona has an opportunity, I think, to become a major, major worldwide star," Cowell, who recently signed a new three-year deal with ITV, told the paper. "We're not going to make an album quickly; we're going to make the best possible album."
