The Leave it to Lamas star and former The Bachelor: London Calling winner pleaded no contest on Monday to a "wet reckless" charge stemming from the DUI arrest, L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan told E! News.
"Wet reckless" is a lesser charge than DUI and can be substituted for it when there's a non-injury accident, according to E! News, which added it is still treated the same way by insurance companies and counts as a DUI on a person's record if he/she is convicted of another DUI within 10 years.
The 24-year-old Lamas was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to undergo alcohol education and complete the L.A. County Morgue program, E! News reported, adding she was also fined $300.
"Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing," said Lamas in a statement at the time.
"However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested onsite. I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment."
Lamas was scheduled to face the misdemeanor charge on December 9 however she preemptively pleaded no contest to the lesser "wet reckless" charge.
Lamas received the final rose and a marriage proposal -- both of which she accepted -- from The Bachelor: London Calling star Matt Grant during the show's pre-taped May 2008 finale.
