When Katharine McPhee tripped and fractured her foot at a tour stop in Charlotte, N.C., she joined two other "American Idol" singers on the injured list.

An oddly similar fate befell other "Idol" runners-up, MTV.com reported.

In 2004, Diana DeGarmo slipped down a flight of stairs during a tour stop in Grand Rapids, Mich. She tore a ligament in her foot.

A year later, 2005 runner-up Bo Bice broke his foot at an Idols Live date in Manchester N.H.

The foot-injuring phenomenon has led some to believe there is a curse to being an "Idol" runner-up.

However, like the runners-up before her, McPhee is not letting the injury impede her performances.

"Nothing's changed. She's still going to perform, just in a temporary cast," said Roger Widynowski, spokesman for McPhee's label, RCA Records. "She's in some discomfort, but she's not letting that get in the way of her doing her thing."
