Karina Smirnoff: No truth to 'Bachelor' Andy Baldwin dating rumors

By Christopher Rocchio, 07/30/2008

Despite a cozy encounter in Sin City, Dancing with the Stars professional Karina Smirnoff denies there's anything romantic between her and The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman star Andy Baldwin.

"There is absolutely no truth to any of the rumors," Smirnoff told Us Weekly in a Wednesday report.

Baldwin and Smirnoff were spotted together last Saturday sitting by the pool at Las Vegas' Palazzo hotel, where an onlooker described the pair as "very affectionate."  They subsequently retreated to MGM to watch a boxing match before hitting the Tao nightclub.

However Baldwin denied he and Smirnoff are dating, telling Us she's an "outstanding dancer and a very sweet girl but that's about it."

Smirnoff issued a similar accolade upon Baldwin before denying a romance.

"I'm sure Andy is a cool guy," she told Us.

After his Officer and a Gentleman engagement to Tessa Horst was called off, Baldwin briefly dated Marla Maples earlier this year before the two split

Smirnoff and her Dancing with the Stars third-season celebrity partner Mario Lopez called it quits on their romantic relationship last month after more than 18 months of dating.
