First Jon Gosselin was absent for his wife's 34th birthday in March, and now the Jon & Kate Plus 8 patriarch was apparently apart from Kate for their wedding anniversary weekend.
While Jon and Kate's actual anniversary was on Friday, the couple spent the subsequent weekend days about 150-miles apart -- as Kate spent Saturday at the family's Wernersville, PA home while Jon had lunch with a male friend at the Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill in West Nyack, NY.
"He was shy and reserved," a waiter told People about Jon, adding when Jon did talk it was over the phone to his kids. "Jon was on the phone most of the time and was definitely talking to his kids." In addition to dining with an old friend, Jon also did some shopping at the Palisades Center mall, according to People. "He didn't look very happy," a Brooks Brothers employee told People. "It looked like he just wanted to be left alone." Jon then returned home Monday, People reported. Allegations of infidelity have hounded Jon since April, when an alleged relationship with 23-year-old school teacher Deanna Hummel became public in an Us Weekly cover story report in which the pair were photographed leaving a Pennsylvania club alone at 2AM. The allegations involving Jon and Hummel resurfaced the next week when Us published a follow-up cover story report in which Deanna's brother Jason Hummel told the magazine its earlier report was correct and he could confirm the pair have been having an affair for the past few months. Both Jon and Deanna have denied they are romantically involved. |
