Jon Gosselin was reportedly frolicking in the snow with his alleged mistress while hi wifes Kate was blowing out her birthday candles in March.
Kate's birthday was March 28, and footage from Jon's snowboarding trip to Park City aired during Jon & Kate Plus 8's fifth-season episode on June 1 on TLC. In addition, the episode also included footage of Kate celebrating her birthday with her and Jon's children.
While "a local friend" told Us Weekly that Jon was aware his vacation was occurring during Kate's birthday and commented he "should get her something," the friend added that Jon never followed through and instead spent the day drinking beer with Hummel before the two "curled up" that night at the Downstairs bar. "It was snuggle-o-matic," a source told Us. In addition, the source said Jon and his friends were eventually "reeking of pot" as the evening grew later. "I know that the kids he's hanging out with like a little herbal substance," a source told Us Weekly. Jon's alleged relationship with Hummel became public when Us Weekly published a cover story report in which the pair where photographed leaving a Pennsylvania club alone at 2AM on April 18. The allegations involving Jon and Hummel resurfaced the next week when Us published a follow-up cover story report in which Deanna's brother Jason Hummel told the magazine its earlier report was correct and he could confirm the pair have been having an affair for the past few months. Both Jon and Deanna have denied they are romantically involved.
