About 250 people seeking tickets to see Hollywood actor James Franco's interview on "Inside the Actors Studio" were unable to gain admission, officials said.

The show will air next month on cable television's Bravo channel, and hundreds of industry professionals trying to score free tickets to the taping at Pace University were turned away, TMZ.com reported.
Franco has appeared on ABC's "General Hospital" and has had numerous roles in films.
Franco kept female fans screaming throughout the taping, prompting host James Lipton to stop the interview to say: "Seventeen years filming this show and I've never heard a sound like that before."
"James stayed another hour-and-a-half after the taping and talked to every single student and fan who wanted to talk," a source told TMZ.
"No one has done that since Paul Newman ... the very first guest that ever appeared on the show."
