George Clooney and Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis confirmed Wednesday they have broken up after two years of dating.
"It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy."
No reason was given for the split.
The Web site said the pair were most recently seen eating together in Italy last week.
