No, it's not the return of the network's pulled Playing It Straight series that many reality viewers have been waiting for, but it's close. FOX has announced that it has partnered with the folks behind last winter's smash hit My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance fake wedding series to create a new practical joke reality special titled Seriously, Dude, I'm Gay.

Airing Monday, June 7 from 8-10PM ET/PT and hosted by Paradise hotel and The Swan hostess Amanda Byram, the two-hour special will feature two "very straight men" attempting to win $50,000 by convincing their friends, loved ones, and complete strangers that they are actually gay.

For one week the two straight guys will immerse themselves in "the gay lifestyle." Each will move into separate West Hollywood lofts, complete with three gay roommates, to experience what it's like to live life as a gay man. Each day the guys will complete a challenge that tests their ability to pass for gay. They'll come out of the closet to their best friends; they'll mix, mingle and dance in gay nightclubs; and they'll even go on a romantic blind date with another man.

Then, if they master each of their challenges, they'll stand before a panel of judges made up of gay men from all walks of life that will declare which of the two guys they believe is actually gay -- and award the "real" gay man the $50,000.

Seriously, Dude, I'm Gay is produced by Rocket Science Laboratories, which in addition to My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance, has produced several of FOX's other biggest reality hits (Joe Millionaire, Temptation Island) as well as many of its biggest clunkers (The Next Joe Millionaire, Married By America, Temptation Island 2, Temptation Island 3). Seriously, Dude, I'm Gay is executive produced by Chris Cowan & Jean-Michel Michenaud with executive producer Ray Giuliani.
