Jennifer Hudson apparently isn't the only American Idol alum to receive her own holiday special.

Fox has announced that fourth-season American Idol champion Carrie Underwood will headline her own two-hour variety special on Monday, December 7 at 8PM ET/PT.

Tentatively-titled Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special, it will feature Underwood as she performs new music from her upcoming third album -- "Play On," which will be released November 3 -- as well as previous hits and holiday classics.

In addition, the special will feature special guests including seventh-season Idol champ David Cook, Dolly Parton and Brad Paisley, among others.

The announcement comes less than a week after ABC revealed that it will air an hour-long, primetime holiday special starring Hudson as she travels to her native Chicago "to share childhood memories of the music, people and places that set the stage for her phenomenal success," according to ABC.

A specific airdate for Hudson's holiday special has yet to be scheduled.

Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special is a production of Big Red 2 Entertainment and will be executive produced by Idol creator and So You Think You Can Dance co-creator Simon Fuller, So You Think You Can Dance co-creator Nigel Lythgoe, and So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman.
