The U.S. attorney's office charged Damion "World" Hardy ran the Cash Money Brothers, a gang that violently ruled the Lafayette Gardens Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant for more than a decade, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
Twelve other members of the Cash Money Brothers, named for the gang in the movie "New Jack City," face federal racketeering charges of murder, attempted murder, drug trafficking and kidnapping. They all face life in prison if convicted.
Lil' Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, was sentenced earlier this month to a year in prison for lying to a grand jury about a shooting outside a New York radio station.
