If you can't have the iconic Joan Rivers starring on Fashion Police, who better to take her place than her own daughter?

Melissa Rivers is officially becoming a co-host of Fashion Police.

Melissa, who will still maintain her role as an executive producer, will be joining Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski on Fashion Police when the series returns to E! on Monday, August 31.

The network has also announced the show will have two rotating celebrity chairs for stars to come, offer their two cents, and go. Celebrity guests will include comedians, stylists, actors and more.

"I'm very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and Fashion Police family," Melissa said in a statement.

Fashion Police will return with six new episodes and its first broadcast will cover MTV's Video Music Awards.

"As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape Fashion Police into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy," E! executive Jeff Olde said in a statement.

"We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the Fashion Police cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode."

Melissa, an author and public speaker, had also previously starred in four seasons of WE tv's Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? reality series. Her mother Joan passed away from complications of a routine throat procedure in early September 2014.

Fashion Police is produced by Wilshire Studios with Melissa and Lisa Bacon serving as executive producers.
