Neighbors in a British village said they were shocked when a woman who ran the post office turned the building into a home for her professional escort business.
Sheila Newcombe, 54, who ran the Yeoford, England, post office until it closed in 2008, is advertising sexual services on her Web site for $154 an hour under the assumed name "Emily," The Sun reported Thursday.
The services Newcombe's Web site offers at the former post office include massages and stripteases. The site specified she has installed a "sex swing," the Daily Express reported Thursday.
Newcombe said she was faced with "mounting debts" when the post office closed but she declined to speak about her new line of work.
Some neighbors didn't mind talking about it, though.
"Sheila ran the post office for years so everyone knows her. We had our suspicions about what she's up to in there," one resident said.
