Discovery's 'Man vs. Wild' to return with new episodes on January 12

Discovery Channel has announced Man vs. Wild will return with eight new third-season episodes beginning Monday, January 12 at 10PM ET/PT.

The new episodes will follow survival expert Bear Grylls as he travels to Belize, Turkey, Transylvania, the Yukon Peninsula, the Dominican Republic and the Badlands of Oregon and will see him come face-to-face with a killer bear, a deadly scorpion and a nine-foot boa constrictor, among other adventures.
Man vs. Wild's third season premiered in August and was filmed entirely in high-definition.
Earlier this month, Grylls -- who was not filming for Man vs. Wild at the time --seriously injured his shoulder while in Antarctica on an independent expedition to promote the potential of alternative energies.
In addition to new Man vs. Wild episodes, Discovery also announced Dirty Jobs' fifth season will premiere Tuesday, January 6 at 9PM ET/PT.
