Discovery Channel has announced it will premiere Man vs. Wild's fourth season on Wednesday, August 12 at 9PM ET/PT.

Man vs. Wild's fourth-season premiere will feature survival expert Bear Grylls hiking through the icy Arctic Circle and include him tackling a frozen waterfall and attempting to hunt reindeer as he manages to survive in some of the world's coldest conditions.

Following its premiere, Discovery will air six additional fourth-season Man vs. Wild episodes Wednesdays at 9PM ET/PT.

In addition to the Arctic Circle, Man vs. Wild's fourth season will also feature Grylls visiting areas of Vietnam, China, Borneo, Uganda, India as well as Alabama.

Man vs. Wild's fourth season began production in early March -- only three months after Grylls had to be airlifted out of Antarctica after seriously injuring his shoulder while on an independent expedition to promote the potential of alternative energies.
