Singers Beyonce  Knowles and Kelly Rowland say reports that their group, Destiny's Child, is breaking up are untrue.

Speaking on the syndicated TV show "Extra," Knowles and Rowland said reports of a breakup are overblown.

"We are not breaking up," said Rowland. "We are simply taking a little break from Destiny's Child for a long time."

The group, which also features Michelle Williams, is currently in the midst of a U.S. tour.

"We're not breaking up," said Knowles. "We're growing up."

Knowles also addressed rumors that she and her boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, are getting married.

"Well, I'll tell you what ... none of them are true," she said.

In any case, she said she believes in keeping her relationships private.

"Just because I love to sing and love to perform does not mean that every part of my life, everyone has a right to know," Beyonce said.
