The owner of "Deep Throat," the seminal U.S. pornographic movie, has decided to re-release the landmark film.

Film labs began Monday making 10 masters, five of which will be of the 1972 original and five of which will be edited to gain an R rating from the Motion Picture Association of America, Daily Variety reported Tuesday.
The project is being driven by Arrow Productions' Raymond Pistol, the company's principal owner, his sales agent, Marc Bruder of Cable Entertainment Distribution, and veteran distributor Mark Borde.
"Deep Throat" won't be ready for theaters until at least Feb. 18.
