A woman named Luciene Lima saw the singer's audition segment during The X Factor's currently-airing season in Brazil and felt in her gut that his baby pictures closely resembled the son she had given up for adoption as a toddler, TMZ reported.

Lima then reportedly tracked her adoption through Brazilian court records and confirmed her suspicions, but couldn't figure out how to contact Correy until she approached the local media and a newspaper was able to put the pair in touch.

While Lima's claim hasn't been confirmed by a DNA test yet, all of Lima's adoption records are reportedly consistent with Correy's adoption.

"I pray this is really my birth mother...Everytime I watch this I envision myself there," Correy recently tweeted, referring to a video of Lima in a local Brazilian television report he linked to.

When Correy, a 27-year-old from Riva, MD, auditioned for The X Factor judges L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, and Demi Lovato, he explained he was singing for his biological mother whom he had never met and hoped to be reunited with one day. Correy said his mom was only 14-years-old when she had him.

"I'm adopted, so I feel like this opportunity will reconnect me with my birth mother if she hears my voice," Correy said during his memorable audition.

Correy is officially on Reid's team going into live shows, which will feature performances from The X Factor's Top 16 second-season acts.
