CBS gives its new 'Close to Home' drama a full season pickup

CBS Tuesday rewarded its freshman series "Close to Home" with a full season order.

The network had moved the series starring former daytime star Jennifer Finnigan to Friday night and the shift resulted in substantially better ratings, Zap2it.com reported.
The only new CBS series still on the bubble at this point is "Threshold," which has yet to receive a full season pickup.
"Threshold" was moved to "Close to Home's" former Tuesday time slot in an effort to boost its ratings.
