Stern airs his final syndicated morning show Dec. 16, then moves over to Sirius Satellite Radio.
Infinity said Carolla on the West Coast and Roth on the East Coast will debut their morning shows Jan. 3. Carolla will be based in Los Angeles while Roth will broadcast from New York.
Longtime Carolla collaborator and ABC late-night TV talk host Jimmy Kimmel was named creative consultant to the West Coast show and will make guest appearances with his pal in addition to helping plan content, Infinity said.
Infinity also announced the launch of its "Free FM" format in seven markets. The format offers listeners a combination of local and national shows. Among the hosts lined up for the format is Penn Jillette, the vocal half of the comedy/magic duo Penn & Teller.
