"My heart hurts to tell you all that I will not be able to do the DWTS tour this winter," Witney captioned a photo of her husband Carson McAllister's dad in a hospital bed Wednesday on Instagram.

The Dancing with the Stars' tour kicks off December 30 in Charlotte, NC, and comes to an end on March 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA.

"My sweet father-in-law has been dealing with pancreatic cancer for the last year and a half. A few days ago he was having stomach issues & was unable to keep anything down. His doctors decided to do an exploratory surgery to find the problem, which we thought was just a minor issue. Unfortunately, we were completely wrong," Witney wrote in her Instagram post.

"The cancer has spread throughout his entire abdomen. We are so blindsided and still in shock... The doctors have explained there is nothing that they can do and have told us that we only have a few weeks with him before the cancer takes his life. After much heartache and discussion, Kevin has decided to fight it and try another aggressive chemotherapy treatment."

Witney continued in her emotional post, "This is an extraordinarily difficult time for us, I hope all of you can understand that my place is here with my family. Right now, my focus needs to be on my family & especially on my husband."

Witney and Carson, her high school sweetheart, are coming up on their second wedding anniversary. They tied the knot on January 1, 2016 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Witney's Season 25 Dancing with the Stars partner, Frankie Muniz, joined the tour featuring mainly professional dancers, as well as the show's latest celebrity winner, Jordan Fisher.

"I want to wish my partner, Frankie, and the whole tour an amazing run," Witney added in her post. "I love my fans & I feel so devastated that I can't be there, but know that my heart is there with you."

In addition to Witney, other Dancing with the Stars pros on tour include Lindsay Arnold, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Keo Motsepe, Gleb Savchenko, and Emma Slater.

Witney finished Dancing with the Stars' 25th season with Frankie in third place. Internationally-recognized violinist Lindsey Stirling and partner Mark Ballas placed second, while Jordan and his pro partner Lindsay claimed the mirrorball trophy.
