VH1 has formally announced Famous Food, a new reality series that will feature Jake Pavelka, Heidi Montag and Danielle Staub and four additional celebrities going into the food business and attempting to win an ownership stake in their newly launched restaurant.

The 10-episode series, which will premiere this fall, will air over the course of eight weeks and feature seven celebrities competing to turn one of The Dolce Group's West Hollywood, CA, properties into a successfully operating restaurant.

Each hour-long episode of Famous Food will follow the former The Bachelor, The Hills, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars along with former call girl Ashley Dupre, former The Sopranos actor and The Celebrity Apprentice participant Vincent Pastore, and Three 6 Mafia rap group members DJ Paul and Juicy "J" as they work together to complete a list of tasks required to launch the restaurant.

The celebrities will take on challenges such as renovating the space, agreeing on a restaurant concept, creating marketing plans, crafting a menu, hiring the staff, and executing a professional grand-opening.

The team will be judged by two faces familiar to reality TV viewers -- The Dolce Group co-founders Mike Malin and Lonnie Moore. Malin competed on Big Brother's second season and Big Brother All-Stars, while Moore appeared on an episode of The Millionaire Matchmaker

Following the restaurant's grand opening, Malin and Moore will reward the most deserving contestant a partnership stake in the restaurant after reviewing each celebrity's progress and individual strengths during the season finale of Famous Food.

Reports of the show first surfaced earlier this month when Pavelka, Montag and Staub were spotted together filming Famous Food at West Hollywood's Cafe Med, but they remained hesitant to disclose any details.

Famous Food is being executive produced by Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego for 51 Minds Entertainment and Ben Samek, Matt Odgers, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly and Jeff Olde.
