The studio announced the upcoming film's title, Godzilla Minus Zero, with a short clip Monday as part of Tokyo's Godzilla Day event.

The roughly one-minute video offers a glimpse of the film's logo and concludes with the apparent sounds of the iconic creature's footsteps.

The feature's 2023 predecessor was well-received, raking in some $113 million in receipts on a $15 million budget, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The sequel will arrive in late 2026, according to the outlet, and Yamazaki will write, direct and lead the visual effects.

Casting has not yet been announcing, but filming is slated to occur in New Zealand and Norway.
