Damien, Luke Wade and James David Carter all influenced The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams to turn their red chairs around because of their amazing vocal talent. The coaches fought to have each artist on his or her team.

Damien performed "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" and ended up picking Adam. Luke sang "That's How Strong My Love Is" and selected Pharrell. James took the stage with "Nobody Knows" and opted to be on Blake's team.

The following singers managed to turn around three chairs: Allison Bray, Clara Hong and Bryana Salaz. Allison sang "Merry Go 'Round" and sparked the interest of everyone except for Pharrell. She chose to join Blake's team.

Clara performed "Chuck E's In Love" and got everyone to turn around except Blake. She chose to be on Adam's team. Bryana performed "Problem" and appealed to everyone except Pharrell. Clare decided to join "Team Gwen."

Taylor John Williams' stripped-down version of "Heartless" prompted Gwen and Adam to turn around. He picked Gwen.

Ely Juh Rene sang "XO" and resulted in Adam and Pharrell fighting for him. He chose to work with Pharrell.

Monday night's premiere episode also featured three artists being denied a spot on any of The Voice coach's teams. They were Dennis Bell who performed "She Used to Be Mine," Megg who sang "Celebrity Skin" and Bianca Espinal who performed "Foolish Games."
