"Hey Everyone! The Situation is home!!! I just want to thank everyone for their support and words of encouragement. I'm back stronger and better than ever!" the Jersey Shore star wrote on his Facebook page Thursday.
News Sorrentino had been in rehab had first surfaced late last month when TMZ reported he was seeking treatment for an unspecified substance abuse problem at an unidentified substance abuse facility. RadarOnline subsequently reported the reality TV star was in rehab for a prescription drug dependency.
Sorrentino and his representative had initially both denied the reports and claimed the Jersey Shore star was just getting "much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule," but Sorrentino finally came clean shortly afterwards and admitted he actually was in rehab.
"I want to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion," Sorrentino wrote in a Facebook posting on March 21.
"I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys."
