The network shared a trailer for the show Thursday featuring Anamaria Vartolomei as Isabelle de Merteuil.

The Seduction reimagines the French novel Dangerous Liaisons, which previously inspired a play, a 1988 film starring Glenn Close, and the 1999 movie Cruel Intentions, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The new adaptation follows the Marquise de Merteuil (Vartolomei) as she strives to becoming the leading courtesan of Paris after being betrayed by the Vicomte de Valmont (Vincent Lacoste).

Diane Kruger also stars as Madame de Rosemonde, with Lucas Bravo as the Comte de Gercourt.

The Seduction is "a thrilling exploration of the price of emotional and sexual freedom in a world where women had little," according to a previous press release.

The series premieres Nov. 14 on HBO and HBO Max.
