"While disappointing, it's not entirely surprising after seeing how Season 19 played out."
Katie continued in her post, "I'm incredibly grateful for the love and support I received -- it was seen, felt and deeply appreciated."
The reality TV star pointed out how "representation matters," before adding, "And I'm proud to have shown up authentically, even when it wasn't easy."
"This chapter may be closing, but my voice and my story don't end here. Love, Katie," she concluded.
Katie captioned her Instagram post with a simple red-heart emoji.
Katie's husband commented, "Love you more than ever. [Praying hands]. Onward! (With a lot less tears and toxicity.)"
While Katie found herself at odds with most of The Real Housewives of Orange County cast, she did form a strong friendship with co-star Tamra Judge.
"I love you. Thankful for our friendship!" Tamra commented.
And former The Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino wrote, "You left with fans wanting more of you! Thats the best place to be!"
Katie had joined the Bravo reality show for Season 18 as a friend of cast member Gina Kirschenheiter.
The Real Housewives of Orange County's 18th season, which was Alexis' last season, aired in Summer 2024. Season 19 premiered in July 2025 and wrapped in November.

Katie shared with Us Weekly in November how she hoped to repair her relationship with some of the other cast members. Due to conflict, Katie wasn't featured in every episode of Season 19.
"I went into the [Season 19] reunion thinking, 'I have nothing to lose this year. If they don't ask me back, they don't want me, and that's okay,'" she said at the time.
"I feel like I said my peace and I was done. I would love to come back to prove to these ladies that I deserve a spot just as much as they do."
Bravo has yet to formally announce the Season 20 cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but Vicki Gunvalson already confirmed her participation.
Executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen, had surprised Vicki -- who was an original Housewife when the show debuted in 2006 -- onstage during BravoCon 2025 in November.
"Vicki, would you join us as a Housewife for Season 20?" Andy asked Vicki, 63.
Vicki happily accepted Andy's offer.
A premiere date for The Real Housewives of Orange County's next season has yet to be announced.
