Jeana Keough is unsure if she'll be on The Real Housewives of Orange County for the Bravo reality show's upcoming fifth season.

"We may not be in the Orange County tornado," Keough told The Orange County Register in a Monday report, referring to herself and her family.

Keough has appeared in every The Real Housewives of Orange County episode since the series premiered in 2006, however she said cast members recently faced a "drop-dead sign date" to renew their contracts.

"We haven't signed.  We're negotiating still," she told The Register about her family's contract situation.

"They wanted us for a longer term. I don't know that it's dead yet. We're going to try to give them some time to figure out what they're doing."

The Real Housewives of Orange County creator Scott Dunlop declined comment when contacted by The Register, and calls to Bravo were not returned.

Filming for The Real Housewives of Orange County's fifth season is slated to start this week, according to The Register.

But Keough said she's unsure about continuing to participate because she sees her portrayal on the show as "a little embarrassing."

"I'd like to do something I'm proud of and is changing the world a little bit. I'd rather be doing something that I can look back on some day and be proud of," she told The Register.

"People are losing their homes. But they're showing people extravagantly buying $16,000 purses... I don't believe this is reality."

Last December, Keough's fellow original Real Housewives cast member Vicki Gunvalson offered a simple "no comment" when asked if she would be interested in being part of a fifth season.

The reason behind Gunvalson's apparent apprehension was Don Gunvalson -- her husband of 14 years -- who reportedly "100 percent" regrets the couple's participation in the reality show.

However Keough told The Register that she believes all other current The Real Housewives of Orange County cast members signed their renewals.
