The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett feeling "abandoned" and "betrayed" by Pedro Jimeno, which led to an embarrassing public fight, and Pedro deciding to move out against Chantel's wishes during the Season 4 episode that aired Monday night on TLC.

Pedro tried to work out his anger and problems by exercising six days a week, and he also said going to the gym was "a good excuse for [him] to leave the house."
Meanwhile, Chantel was going to a wedding alone because Pedro didn't want to join her. Pedro explained to the cameras how he and Chantel weren't in a good place and so he didn't want to put on an act and fake a smile at this wedding, which was for Chantel's friends.
"I don't feel like Pedro knows he's neglecting me. If I tell Pedro that, you know, I miss him, he'll tell me that I'm not supporting him and his career," Chantel lamented to the cameras. "I just want time with my husband, that's all."
Chantel didn't understand why Pedro wouldn't want to celebrate with her and be reminded of their vows.
Pedro's rationale was that he and Chantel were on totally different pages. He said Chantel often complained that he was working too hard, but Pedro said his real estate career wasn't about the money -- it was about doing something important for himself and living up to his potential.
Pedro explained how he and Chantel were focused on different things and going down different paths.
"I feel by myself," Pedro admitted.
Chantel said she even bought playing cards intended to make a couple closer but Pedro "couldn't even do that." Chantel said Pedro needed to see what was right in front of him -- while he still had it.
Pedro shared with the cameras how he was prioritizing work so he wouldn't have to work hard for the rest of his life and into his old age. He wanted to work a lot now in order to meet his goals for the future.
Pedro said if he and Chantel had the same goals, life would be so much better and make more sense.

"There was one night when Pedro came home and he had a girl's name taped to his keys. It said Antonella, a girl he works with whom he takes to work all the time," Chantel told her friend. "Her charger is in there, her cup, and the mirror is down at times, like when a girl has been doing her makeup in there."
Pedro claimed he had been playing a game in the office with his co-workers.

Destinee didn't think Pedro was cheating, especially because he had looked at her in the eyes and insisted he still loved Chantel a lot. Destinee said that Pedro was busy working on things outside of his marriage, such as his issues with his mother Lidia and sister Nicole.
Destinee told Chantel that Pedro probably viewed his co-workers as the only family he has in the United States. Destinee said Pedro probably wasn't clinging to Chantel because they weren't communicating.
Destinee advised Chantel to date Pedro again and join in on some of his work functions or activities in order to get back into his life. Chantel learned that she needed to stand up for her marriage at whatever cost, even if it meant putting somebody in his or her place.
"I'm going to fight for my relationship. I'm going to fight for my marriage, and I hope that by me fighting, he'll see my efforts and he'll realize that I love him and I'm here for better or for worse," Chantel said in a confessional.

After Chantel accompanied her sister Winter to an appointment in which Winter revealed she had lost about 100 pounds, Chantel claimed she and Pedro were doing "fine" and it was "same old, same old," which Winter had a tough time believing.
Winter wanted to be there for Chantel, but she could tell that Chantel was totally closed off. Winter asked Chantel not to hide away from her family if she and Pedro were going through things, and Chantel said she appreciated her sister's support.
Chantel, however, wasn't willing to talk to her family about her marriage problems just yet. Chantel wanted to be there for Winter after her surgery and not be a distraction or the center of attention.
Chantel later asked Pedro if she could join him and his co-workers for drinks. Chantel was trying to insert herself back into Pedro's life and remind him why they were great together.
Chantel said the group was stuffy and talked business constantly while she has other interests -- outside of nursing -- as well as more of a scientific mind.
"I just wanted to know what makes them so interesting that my husband wants to spend all the time that he has with them," Chantel said in a confessional.
"If I could learn what that is, I can say, 'Okay, this is the type of person my husband likes.' He doesn't want to spend any time with me because I'm not fun... and he's saying these ladies are fun. So I want to know what kind of fun they're having and can I be a part of it?"

Chantel showed up to the bar smiling big, and then the lively conversation Pedro was having with his four female co-workers suddenly stopped and everyone became silent. Pedro apparently didn't think Chantel was going to show up, even though he had given her the opportunity to join them.
Pedro didn't think Chantel really came to get to know his friends, and he questioned her motive for being there.
When Chantel asked for an introduction, Pedro claimed she had an attitude and had already met everybody. Pedro said it wasn't Chantel's first time around them and all she did was trash them and accuse Pedro of cheating with them.
Pedro immediately lost his drive to have fun, and Chantel announced how she wanted to get to know Pedro's friends because he was spending more time with them than he spent at home with her.

"Pedro is very private about his life at home, and I respect that, but it was very tense," Laura told the cameras with a laugh.
Chantel said she never knew where Pedro was at night because he'd allegedly say it's none of her business.
Chantel recalled finding Pedro's key fob with Antonella's name on it and asked about the alleged game of "ownership" Pedro had been playing. Antonella said there was one day she took a stapler off Pedro's desk as a prank and then he started labeling all of his things "Pedro."
Chantel explained to Antonella that incident got a rise out of her, and Pedro's wife admitted in a confessional that she lost control at the gathering once Pedro acted cold towards her, like he didn't even want her there.
"He treats me like I'm nothing at home, but to do it in front of his peers was a different level of betrayal," Chantel explained in a confessional.

Chantel accused Pedro of playing mind games with her. She said at one point, Pedro threatened to tell all of his co-workers that Chantel was crazy, which Pedro denied.
Pedro claimed he didn't want to fight anymore and so he took the full blame for being toxic and the poison in his relationship. Pedro, however, said that sarcastically, trying to prove that Chantel wasn't perfect and he's not always "the bad guy."
Chantel asked Pedro to be nice to her in front of other people, and Pedro could tell that Chantel didn't trust him.
"I'm done with this already!" he vented.
Laura told both Pedro and Chantel to calm down, and Chantel wondered to herself, "What the hell am I doing here? My husband isn't even welcoming to me. Why is he treating his co-worker better than his own wife?"

Laura subsequently checked on Chantel, who was crying outside of the bar, and Chantel said Pedro was intentionally trying to hurt her. Laura said she respected marriages and could assure Chantel that he wasn't doing anything wrong.
Chantel told Laura that she trusted her but Pedro had been treating her badly. She felt abandoned in more ways than just one, feeling abandoned at home and in public.
Chantel wished Pedro would just tell her how to make things better.
Once Chantel and Pedro returned home, Chantel recognized she was "completely out of line" by bringing up the couple's personal problems in front of his co-workers. She acknowledged how that situation was completely out of control.

Pedro was upset Chantel had aired out their dirty laundry, but Chantel explained how a switch had flipped in her mind once she saw Pedro giving her a dirty look and appearing unhappy with her presence.
Pedro thought Chantel blamed him for everything that was wrong, and Chantel agreed it was all his fault "so far."
Chantel broke down crying and said she just wanted Pedro to be nice to her and love her. Pedro said he couldn't give his wife love when she didn't trust him and accused him of cheating.
Pedro didn't think he could win with Chantel, and he had no idea how to make her happy anymore.
Pedro wanted Chantel to be happy for his accomplished goals and dreams.
"So what are you going to do?" Chantel asked.

"You're going to move out?" Chantel questioned. "I didn't say that I wanted you to move out. So what makes you say that you want to move out?"
"Because I make you unhappy," Pedro said.
"Well that's going to make me even more unhappy, if you move out," Chantel responded.
Pedro didn't know where he was going to go, but he suggested he could maybe find an apartment.
Chantel feared Pedro moving out was going to be the first step towards getting a divorce.
This marked the first time Pedro had ever mentioned wanting a separation, and Chantel said the whole situation felt "unreal."
Chantel said she didn't want this, adding, "This is the worst thing that could ever happen. I want my marriage, I love my husband. I don't agree with this."
Chantel then decided to sit in her car in peace and quiet while Pedro packed his belongings in the house.
