The Bachelorette alum Charity Lawson has revealed that she went under the knife and got her breasts done, which turned out to be "the best decision" she ever made.

Charity took to TikTok on Friday, April 5 and opened up about her recent experience with plastic surgery.

"What I've been up to this past week #grwm #lifestyle," Charity captioned her post.

The Bachelorette's Season 20 star began her video by sharing, "I kind of just want to clear the air and talk about what I was in recovery for."

"I know there has been a lot of speculation," she noted, "and also a lot of you all have reached out to me specifically sending really encouraging, uplifting messages and checking on my well-being -- not even knowing what is going on, which I truly do appreciate."

Charity went on to praise her fans and followers for being sincere.

The Bachelor 27 alum continued, "For those who didn't know what was going on, that's fine too. No one obviously knew, and here I am to talk about it."

Charity announced, "I want to be the person that when you look at me, you see somebody who is being transparent in conversation and normalizing these experiences that so many of us go through but we feel like we can't talk about or it's out of fear of judgement."

"I'll be the first to say I was very fearful of that," she acknowledged, "but it's 2024, and if you ain't living your life for you at this point, I don't know what else to tell you."

Charity said "the biggest lesson" she's learned for herself is to live her life the way she wants to.

"So with that being said, I was in recovery because I got my girlies done!" Charity revealed.

The Bachelorette alum proceeded to show off her perky one-week, post-op breasts in a black tank top.

"If I turn to the side a little bit, [my chest] is still in proportion with my frame," Charity shared.

"I'm very petite and tiny, so I knew that going in, I was like, 'I don't want this to be like, oh my god, this girl got her titties done!'" Charity noted with a laugh.

"But really, I wanted it to be very natural. I wanted it to really just be for me. Ultimately, that's why I'm getting this done, it's for myself. It's something that I sat on for a really long time."

Charity clearly doesn't want Bachelor Nation to think that she increased the size of her breasts to please her The Bachelorette 20 winner and fiance Dotun Olubeko, whom she plans to marry in 2025.

Charity admitted she went through a period of time when she wasn't ready, but then she changed her mind.

"I just wanted to do something for me, and I did," Charity said, before giving her Beverly Hills doctor a shout out.

"I got them done when I was in L.A., so it was a very quick turnaround [recovery-wise], which is the best!... For me to be, on Day 2, up around being like, 'Hey!' I've been moving and trying to get used to them, like, it was everything."

Charity confirmed that she's "been healing well" and was "obviously able to fly back to New York," where she attended New York Bridal Week and shopped for a wedding dress.

"And now I'm back in L.A. So I probably should hang tight on flying so much, but you know, I've just got things to do," Charity said.

"It was the best decision that I've made for myself in a hot minute, and I'm really proud and I'm really happy."

Charity said she'll accept questions about the process and her recovery because she's willing to talk "a little bit more" about her experience.

But she clarified, "I won't go too crazy in depth with it because I just don't want it to be like I'm throwing this at you guys."

Charity concluded that she just wanted to "open the space" and "always relay a transparent vibe" with her followers who watch and support her.

"So yeah, that is all I have to say. I love them! If you're on the fence about it, don't be. Jump in and do it," Charity said.

A couple of days later, Charity uploaded a quick TikTok vlog of her surgery day, showing The Bachelorette alum in scrubs and going in and out of the doctor's clinic.

After competing for Zach Shallcross' heart on The Bachelor's 27th season, Charity starred on The Bachelorette's 20th season and got engaged to Dotun during the season finale that aired in August 2023.

Shortly after The Bachelorette finished airing on ABC, Charity competed on Dancing with the Stars' 32nd season with pro partner Artem Chigvintsev, and the pair finished in fourth place in December. Charity also briefly went on tour with the show.

Charity told The New York Times that she and Dotun are planning two weddings, one in California in Fall 2025 and a second ceremony for Dotun's family in Lagos, Nigeria.

Charity explained in a February Q&A session via Instagram Stories that she and Dotun are waiting to wed due to the planning process.

"I personally do not want to plan a wedding in a rush of 5 months. I choose peace and not stress (which I will experience regardless cause it's wedding planning)," Charity explained.

Charity admitted she'd like to slow down for a little bit after appearing on three reality TV shows in a row.

"I went from one TV show to another and Dotun and I are just now settling into normalcy and getting our bearings, which we are loving every second of it," Charity shared.

"This is a normal time frame. I want to enjoy and live out our engagement and it'll be here before you know it, as we have already started planning."

Charity and Dotun also revealed in November that they're in therapy together and are doing everything it takes to stay strong and healthy as a couple.

"[Dotun] is well onboard [with our sessions]. I don't want to toot my own horn, but they, like, our therapist is personally, like, really proud of us because we don't really have, like, problems," Charity explained to Life & Style at the time.

"It's just, like, we're doing things to be proactive, to, like, stay ahead of, like, I guess something going wrong in the in the future."
