Not long after accepting Dotun's marriage proposal on The Bachelorette's twentieth season, Charity signed on as a celebrity contestant for Dancing with the Stars' 32nd season, which premiered in September on ABC.

Charity and her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev are currently one of six remaining couples on Dancing with the Stars, and if she continues to shine and impress, it's possible fans may eventually vote her into the show's finale.

"So obviously, like, dancing is my priority right now, but also so is my relationship. And so, [I'm] making or finding those small moments to still, like, make him feel appreciated," Charity, 27, recently told Life & Style.

"And he's doing that for me, like, by supporting me. So, yeah, we're in therapy. We're doing everything that we can."

The Bachelorette alum shared how she and Dotun, 31, are "grateful" to be able to sit down and talk through things with a therapist.

"[Dotun] is well on board [with our sessions]. I don't want to toot my own horn, but they, like, our therapist is personally, like, really proud of us because we don't really have, like, problems," Charity explained.

"It's just, like, we're doing things to be proactive, to, like, stay ahead of, like, I guess something going wrong in the in the future."

Knowing that Dancing with the Stars was going to be challenging and stressful, especially while trying to navigate a post-Bachelor relationship in the real world, Charity also sought out advice from Bachelor Nation alums who had competed on Dancing with the Stars before her.

"They warn you before," Charity revealed.

"So definitely, yeah, a lot of couples or girls warned me coming into this. But I think it just depends about, like, your intentions and, like, where our relationship was before we started all of this."

She added, "And it was in a really, really great spot. And I knew I didn't want, like, dancing to, like, get in the way of that."

By participating in Dancing with the Stars, Charity followed in the footsteps of former The Bachelorette stars Gabby Windey, who placed second on Dancing with the Stars' 31st season last year; Kaitlyn Bristowe, who won Dancing with the Stars' 29th season; Hannah Brown, who was crowned champion of the reality dancing competition's 28th season; and other Bachelor Nation alums.

Charity's pro partner, Artem, was actually Kaitlyn's partner when she competed on Dancing with the Stars.

Back in September, Kaitlyn, speaking from experience, warned Charity to buy herself an ice bath for her feet because her body will be "hurting." And Kaitlyn said Charity would probably end up working seven-hour days without a day off.

Kaitlyn, who starred on Season 11 of The Bachelorette, told Charity, "It's a really hard thing to go through...  Battle through the pain."

The former DWTS winner continued, "The thing is, you've always got to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You're doing something fun, and don't forget that, because people get really caught up... in the competition of it and making it farther."

Kaitlyn acknowledged how competing on Dancing with the Stars was "a lot" and a "really hard" experience, but she also gushed about how it was "one of the coolest things" she's ever done.

Charity, who is originally from Georgia, has been living in Los Angeles with Dotun while she films Dancing with the Stars. Dotun already lived in Fresno, CA, prior to appearing on The Bachelorette.

As far as where Charity sees the couple settling down in the future, she told BachelorNation.com in September, "I'll probably get a glimpse and taste to see... if I fall in love with L.A."

She pointed out, "But I think right now, we kind of both are looking at New York. We'll see if that could also change, too."

And Dotun gushed of their relationship at the time, "Our love has never been deeper, and I continue to fall more and more in love every day. And so, going into Dancing with the Stars, we both feel extremely secure in our relationship, and I'm just so supportive."

He also revealed how he planned to have dinner on the table for Charity once she returned home from Dancing with the Stars rehearsal.

"And yeah, if anything ever happens, this relationship is a priority," Dotun shared in September, "and I think we have the communication skills to talk about it and take a step back any time it's needed."

Charity went on to insist that "nothing" was going to come between them, and she told Us Weekly in a separate interview that Dotun is her "biggest fan" and cheerleader.

"So as busy as we get and as time-consuming as life is, I think we've both done such a fantastic job of just making sure that we're the focus of each other," Charity told Us a couple of months back.

And Dotun agreed that Charity had prioritized him and would probably continue doing so.

"She continues to give me that reassurance, and I think I'm more excited than she is," Dotun said. "I'm like, 'Whatever, let's do this!' But I have no doubt in our ability to continue fostering our relationship, and we'll be together! It will be great."
