The 28-year-old pilot posted a photo of himself holding his dog and smiling big.

"Just got back from two months of the most insane journey ever... told my boy everything and he can't believe it!" Peter captioned the happy picture now that he has returned home to California.

Comments poured in from friends and fellow The Bachelorette alums -- including Mike Johnson, Dylan Barbour, and Connor Saeli from Hannah Brown's season.

"Missed ya homie!! I know you found your love," Mike wrote.

And Dylan commented, "brb making a pilot Pete Stan account."

"We missed ya, Pete," wrote Connor. "Good to have you back!"

While The Bachelor's upcoming season won't premiere on ABC until Monday, January 6, 2020 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, it reportedly finished filming in Australia earlier this month.

"Yes, 'Bachelor' filming is over," Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone tweeted on November 17.

In regards to spoiling the winner of Peter's season, Carbone added at the time, "No, I don't know what happened yet. Give it time. When I know for sure, you will know."

Fans are speculating Peter must have found love since he was beaming ear to ear in the Instagram photo he had posted this past weekend.

"Did u fall in love?" one follower asked.

"Of course he did lol it's Pilot Pete we're talking about," another person replied.

The Bachelor will debut as a three hour event, which will feature a few women earning their wings on a daring group date as well as other romantic dates -- a first ever on a Bachelor premiere, according to ABC.

ABC also revealed the premiere broadcast will feature "a special surprise visitor who has everyone talking!"

Season 24 of The Bachelor began filming on September 20 at the show's usual Malibu mansion in California.

Peter was officially announced as The Bachelor's next star on the reunion for Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season days before filming began, however ABC actually released the names and photos of the season's bachelorettes before Peter was formally announced.

"I feel so grateful right now just to have this opportunity in front of me. I feel emotional right now, man. This is crazy; this is life changing!" Peter told The Bachelor host Chris Harrison in front of a screaming audience at the time.

"I have truly, my entire life, looked forward to finding my girl and that person I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with."

He later added, "I have all the faith in the world this can work for me, and I know it's going to."

Peter finished Hannah B.'s season of The Bachelorette in third place earlier this year. Peter fell in love with Hannah and was blindsided by his rejection.

The pair, however, were able to enjoy a good laugh once the season ended because Hannah revealed she had slept with Peter four times in a windmill during their overnight Fantasy Suite date.

The first promo for Peter's The Bachelor season actually shows the pilot walking out of a windmill and posing with a red rose in hand.

Hannah accepted a marriage proposal from aspiring country singer Jed Wyatt during The Bachelorette's Season 15 finale, but she broke off their engagement five weeks later because she caught Jed lying about what his relationship status had been prior to his appearance on the show.

Hannah, however, is doing just fine now. She is about to compete in the finals of Dancing with the Stars' 28th season airing on Monday, November 25 with her professional partner Alan Bersten.
