The Bachelor's upcoming season will not feature the return of any former female contestants, however, that doesn't mean Nick Viall will be meeting all of his 30 bachelorettes for the first time.

The girl from Nick's past is Bachelor in Paradise star Jade Roper's best friend Elizabeth "Liz" Sandoz, a 29-year-old doula and world traveler from Las Vegas, NV, according to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone.
In one of the intro videos that will air at the beginning of The Bachelor's Season 21 premiere on Monday, January 2 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, Liz will admit she met Nick before. Clips will reportedly then be played from Jade and husband Tanner Tolbert's televised wedding in which Liz served as the maid of honor.
Jade's wedding took place on January 24, 2016 although the TV special didn't air until Valentine's Day the following month.
When Liz steps out of a limo on Night 1, she allegedly declined to tell Nick her name in order to test whether he'd remember her. The Bachelor season began filming in September.
"During the first day of taping, all of the girls came out, and he actually had slept with one of them at a wedding and never called her again," a source told Us Weekly in October, revealing that it was a one-night stand.
Neither Nick or Liz reportedly acknowledged their past sexual encounter once they reunited on the show.
Nick might have been disappointed to see a familiar face on his journey to find lasting love because, according to a second Us insider, the Bachelor initially told producers that he "didn't want any girls on the show that he already knew or had a date with."
Nick allegedly explained that casting such a contestant would be "a waste of a person being there," so he clearly had no intention to reignite any former flames.
Nick is a controversial figure in the franchise because he had sex with both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe on their respective The Bachelorette seasons, and people assume he also slept with Jennifer Saviano on Bachelor in Paradise 3 because they had enjoyed an overnight Fantasy Suite date together.
