The Bachelor bachelorette Mercedes Northup has revealed which bachelors she'd be interested in dating if she joins the Bachelor in Paradise cast this year.

Zach Shallcross eliminated Mercedes, a 24-year-old nonprofit owner from Bloomfield, IA, at the fifth Rose Ceremony of The Bachelor's 27th season, which filmed in London.

Mercedes said she's "very much still single" and "figuring out who I am and who I want to be" during the February 23 episode of the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast co-hosted by Joe Amabile and Jill Chin.

Mercedes was therefore asked if she'd be open to looking for love on the beach in Mexico this summer.

"Yes, I feel like I would go for sure," Mercedes confirmed. "I hope [I get asked], because I feel like I would low-key thrive!"

Mercedes went on to share whom she'd like to meet on Bachelor in Paradise's upcoming ninth season.

And the first man who caught Mercedes' eye from Bachelor Nation was Spencer Swies.

Mercedes said she thought the Chicago-based venture capitalist was "so cute, quiet and quirky" on The Bachelorette's nineteenth season starring Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia.

"I was like, 'Ooh, there's something interesting about him,'" Mercedes noted.

But the brunette beauty didn't want the show before appearing on Zach's season.

So now that she's had some time to catch up on episodes and do a little research about men from previous seasons, Mercedes said of Spencer, "Now that I've figured out who's all in Bach Nation, he's not necessarily a top runner anymore."

Mercedes went on to unveil her "Top 3" love interests, starting with her No. 1 pick.

"My Top 3? Okay, I think Tyler Norris is a super cutie. He's, like, a cutie patootie! I feel like you just see him and you're like, 'Oh, you're so cute!' I feel like he's just the sweetest," she said of The Bachelorette 19 and Bachelor in Paradise 8 alum.

Tyler was eliminated by Rachel on The Bachelorette before hometown dates, and then he hit it off with Brittany Galvin on Bachelor in Paradise last year but they called it quits shortly after returning to the real world.

Mercedes also noted she thinks Johnny DePhillipo "is cute."

Johnny dumped Gabby on The Bachelorette last year because he couldn't see himself getting engaged by the end of the process.

Johnny then fell in love with Victoria Fuller on Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season, but they broke up before the reunion show aired. Victoria is now dating The Bachelorette 17 alum Greg Grippo.

"They have way different vibes," Mercedes said of Tyler and Johnny.

Given Tyler and Johnny are best friends, Mercedes joked, "It might get messy!"

And lastly, Mercedes disclosed, "I feel like Nayte Olukoya would also be fun. That man, he is fine. I would probably see him and be like, 'Uhh, I don't know what to do!'"

Nayte won Michelle Young's The Bachelorette season in late 2021; however, the couple announced their split in June 2022.

"My type is someone who is just very sweet and kind and tall and dark-haired," Mercedes shared on the podcast. "Zach definitely checked the boxes right in the beginning."

Mercedes has lived in Nashville for the past four years, but she grew up in a small town in Iowa, where she lived on a farm and showed pigs at the local fair.

Mercedes worked as a server and in social-media marketing and freelance modeling before appearing on The Bachelor.

"My cousin nominated me, kind of, not as a joke, but she was like, 'I'm going to put you on!' And I was like, 'Okay, zero chance I'm getting on.' But then the ball started rolling," Mercedes recalled of how she was cast on The Bachelor.

"So it was kind of a joke and then it started getting serious, and I was like, 'Okay, I'm going to do it!'"

Mercedes admitted she went into The Bachelor "blind," not knowing much about Zach at all.

But Mercedes acknowledged she was "very excited" when Zach was announced as the Bachelor because he's definitely her type. One of Mercedes' friends even predicted that she was going to fall in love on the show.
