The Amazing Race eliminated "Dating Couple" Kat Dunn and Alex Romo after a stressful leg in Hungary during the Season 38 episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

"It's been the best experience we could ever have. At the end of the day, we finished it and we got it done, so I'm just so happy that [Kat] didn't give up and she didn't quit," Alex said in the team's final words.

"She got out of that [negative] headspace and was like, 'Okay let's do it,' and she smiled. And I'm very proud of her for that.

The Amazing Race broadcast began with "Sisters" Natalie Negrotti and Stephanie Negrotti departing the Pit Stop in Prague in first place at 2:43PM. All teams were required to travel by overnight train more than 300 miles southwest to Budapest, Hungary.

Natalie and Stephanie and "Brothers and entrepreneurs" Jag Bains and Jas Bains learned the earliest train would depart at 6:42PM but there would be three changes. The train was scheduled to arrive in Budapest at 7:28AM.

The teams' second option was a 10PM train that was direct and would put them in Budapest at 8:30AM.

It turned out most of the teams booked tickets on the train with a few stops, except for "Sisters" Kristine Bernabe and Rubina Bernabe, who opted to sleep on the overnight train and then arrive in Hungary at 8:30AM.

"Father and daughter" Jack Baham and Chelsie Baham had no option but to grab tickets on the fast train arriving at 8:30AM.

"Dating Couple" Kyland Young and Taylor Hale and Kat and Alex also got stuck on that train departing at 10:01PM without a choice.

"This is the miracle we've been hoping for because we ran into Taylor and Kyland, Chelsie and her dad Jack, and Rubina and Kristine," Kat told the cameras.

The teams on the first train with three stops admitted it was miserable getting on and off at the changes. They appeared to get very little to no sleep.

Once in Budapest, they had to travel on foot to the thermal baths.

"Brothers" Tucker Des Lauriers made it to the cluebox in first place, and they learned they must search for a king somewhere in a very large and crowded pool.

Jas and Jag were right on their heels in second place, with Joseph and Adam running a close third.

Kat and Alex made it to the thermal baths in ninth place, but Kristine and Rubina were trailing behind them in tenth place.

When Eric and Tucker completed the king task in first place, they learned they must travel on foot to Varosligeti Mujegpalya to find their next clue.

Once at Varosligeti Mujegpalya, Eric and Tucker decided to do the Fast Forward in which both team members were required to solve a Rubik's cube in seven-and-a-half seconds or less in the same attempt.

If Eric and Tucker accomplished the challenge, they would be able to skip all the other tasks and head straight to the Pit Stop.

Jas and Jag, racing in second place, chose not to try the Fast Forward at all, and so they traveled by taxi to a museum called the Ludovika Huszar Lovarda instead. However, dozens of empty taxis apparently passed the guys, which lost them a lot of time.

Once the men with long beards put their hoods up over their black turbans, a taxi finally stopped for them.

Eric and Tucker ended up being the only team to try to win the Fast Forward. While it took them many attempts, they were eventual successful.

Once Eric and Tucker completed the Fast Forward, they made their way to Varkert Bazar, which would serve as the fourth Pit Stop for this leg of the Race.

Meanwhile, Natalie and Stephanie ripped open the clue at the museum in second place and learned it was time for one member of their team to complete a Roadblock task. Jack and Chelsie, at this point, were racing in last place.

The Roadblock required the participating Racers to steer a coach with a pair of horses around a figure-eight course without knocking over any cones in 45 seconds or less.

Natalie attempted the Roadblock task, and she was soon joined by Simone and Izzy.

"Sisters" Hannah Chaddha and Simone Chaddha and "Engaged Couple" Izzy Gleicher and Paige Seber were racing in the middle of the pack.

When Natalie completed the Roadblock task, she and Stephanie were sent to the House of Houdini, where they found chained and locked wooden cases. The team had to figure out how to unlock one of them in order to receive their next clue.

Jas and Jag arrived at the horse Roadblock in fifth place, and Joseph and Adam -- who had gotten lost -- were racing in sixth place.

Jas and Joseph chose to do the Roadblock task.

Eric and Tucker were then shown meeting The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan at the Pit Stop in first place. For winning the leg, they won a five-night trip for two to Bolivia.

Meanwhile, the other Racers who chose to do the horse Roadblock were Alex, Kristine, and Kyland.

Taylor and Kyland had gotten a bit lost, but they didn't want to waste their Express Pass yet.

Over at the House of Houdini, Natalie and Stephanie managed to open their locked box quickly, and they learned it was time to complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "Juggling Act" or "Balancing Act."

"Juggling Act" required teams to juggle five rings. If they could keep the rings suspended for at least 10 seconds, they'd receive their next clue.

"Balancing Act" required teams to perform a traditional Hungarian dance with highly-skilled folk dancers. However, they had to do the choreography with a jug on their head -- and they weren't allowed to spill a drop.

The first several teams who opted to dance were Natalie and Stephanie, Izzy and Paige, Jas and Jag.

And Natalie and Stephanie completed their task before anyone else, allowing them to head to the Pit Stop. The girls stepped on the Pit Stop mat and finished the leg in second place.

Taylor and Kyland had arrived at the horse task in last place but managed to leave the place in sixth. They also passed Joseph and Adam at the House of Houdini by being able to open their box first.

Once Taylor and Kyland arrived at the Detour, they chose to juggle. They were later joined by Joseph and Adam.

The other teams who chose the dancing and balancing were Kat and Alex, Kristine and Rubina, Jack and Chelsie, and Hannah and Simone.

Kat was a former professional cheerleader, but she was confused by her trainer's counting and teaching method.

Kat cried about how she and Alex were "under a lot of stress" and she found the task "so frustrating." However, they kept pushing through it and giving it their best effort.

Meanwhile, after a whopping 134 attempts, Joseph and Adam finally accomplished their juggling task.

Izzy and Paige ended up meeting Phil and finishing the leg in third place, and Kyland and Taylor placed fourth.

Jas and Jag ran to the Pit Stop and were declared Team No. 5, and then Hannah and Simone completed the leg in sixth place.

Joseph and Adam made it to the Pit Stop in seventh place, and Kristine and Rubina were Team No. 8.

After Kat and Alex took nine attempts to land their choreography, Jack and Chelsie were trying to hail a taxi.

Jack and Chelsie managed to step on the Pit Stop mat in ninth place, which meant Kat and Alex -- who had finished the leg in last place -- were eliminated from the Race.

"I had really high hopes. We were in the back of the pack the whole time," Kat cried to Phil at the Pit Stop.

"I'm sorry I'm crying so much, but we prayed for a miracle and we got so many miracles today. We were doing so well at the beginning part of the day."

But Alex said he was "so proud" of them and they ran the Race as hard as they could.
