CBS has announced the identities of the 11 teams who will be competing on the 23rd edition of The Amazing Race, which will premiere Sunday, September 29 at 8PM ET/PT.

Like prior The Amazing Race editions, the members of the 11 teams competing on the show's 23rd installment have a pre-existing relationship with one another. One pair consists of cousins, one couple are exes and another is married, another team is comprised of a father and daughter, six teams are essentially friends, and one couple is dating.

The cast will include a team of male theater performers who call themselves the "Queens of Bingo," a couple of childhood friends who look like Duck Dynasty extras, two women on the Los Angeles Kings NHL hockey team's Ice Girls Crew, married emergency room doctors, baseball wives, and former NFL teammates.

Hosted once again by Phil Keoghan, The Amazing Race's 23rd edition will recycle the same Double Express Pass twist the show had introduced last season. For the twist, the first team to check in at the first Pit Stop will earn not one but two Express Passes -- one to keep for themselves and one that must be given out to another team by the end of the fifth leg of the Race.

The Express Pass will allow each team to skip any task they want if it proves to be too challenging or taxing, allowing them to automatically move on to the next task.

The Amazing Race's 23rd season covered more than 35,000 miles and included visits to four continents and nine countries, according to CBS. Teams were required to complete tasks such as paragliding in Iquique, Chile; plunging in Norway; and Formula One Racing in Abu Dhabi.
