The feature, which lands in theaters Dec. 19, follows Sweeney's Millie, who takes a job as a live-in housekeeper for wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar) in an attempt to outrun her past.

Seyfried, 40, wore a pale pink gown, while Sweeney, 28, wore a white sequined gown with a boa.

Both women wore their hair in loose waves.

Director Paul Feig and cast members Sklenar, Indiana Elle, Michele Morrone, Ellen Tamaki and Megan Ferguson also attended the premiere.

Sweeney, who recently stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote the movie and the upcoming season of Euphoria, said that she was "obsessed" with her costar.

"She knows how obsessed I am with her," Sweeney said of Seyfried. "I am the biggest Mamma Mia! fan."

A recent trailer for the film shows Nina having an outburst as she blames Millie for missing PTA notes.
