Starting Over, the daily daytime reality series distributed by NBC Enterprises, has been renewed for a second season on the NBC owned and operated stations.

“We are very excited that our partners at the NBC owned and operated stations see the long-term value in a show like this,” says NBC Enterprises President Ed Wilson. “Starting Over is a departure from the daytime norm and has really become a favorite of young female viewers. It has shown consistent growth since its September debut and we look forward to a strong second half of the season.”

The freshman series from Bunim-Murray Productions (The Simple Life, The Real World) has grown 38% in national household ratings and with November sweeps results in from eight of the NBC owned and operated stations, Starting Over has increased its time period from November 2002 by 50% in women 18-49 and 33% in women 25-54. Nationally the series has consistently delivered the highest concentration of women 18-49 of any nationally syndicated program.

“We are pleased with the first season results of Starting Over and look forward to building on its early success,” said Jay Ireland, President, NBC Television Stations. “It’s a program that has resonated with viewers.”
