So You Think You Can Dance cut Asaf Goren, a 23-year-old from Tel Aviv, Israel, and Marissa Milele, a 20-year-old from Mt. Juilet, TN, from the competition.

Based on America's vote from last week, three Stage dancers and three Street dancers were in danger of elimination.

The Street dancers in the bottom six were Asaf; Ariana Crowder, a 22-year-old from Somerset, NJ; and Jessica "JJ" Rabone, a 29-year-old from Kawasaki, Japan.

The three Stage dancers who were in jeopardy were Marissa; Kate Harpootlian, a 27-year-old from Columbia, SC; and Derek Piquette, an 18-year-old from Chicopee, MA. Derek suffers from a back injury, so he missed out on many rehearsals and had to sit out last night's dance.

Home viewers could then tweet to save two of the contestants -- one from Team Stage and one from Team Street. America tweeted to save Derek and JJ.

The results left SYTYCD judges Nigel Lythgoe, Jason Derulo and Paula Abdul with the task of deciding which two of the remaining four dancers they'd like to keep and see advance in the competition. The judges opted to save Ariana and Kate. They therefore said goodbye to Asaf and Marissa.

Last night's show featured the Top 16 contestants performing in pairs for home viewer votes. Choreographer Leonardo filled in for Derek when he was supposed to take the stage with JJ for an Argentine tango routine.

Kate and Asaf performed a jazz routine. Marissa and Yorelis danced a hip-hop number. Ariana took the stage with Jim Nowakowski for a contemporary routine.
