IMAX announced Tuesday that Sinners and One Battle After Another are returning to IMAX theaters. The films begin playing again Dec. 12, with some venues having preview screenings Dec. 11 too.

The re-release is exclusively for IMAX 70mm locations. Sinners was filmed in IMAX 70mm and Ultra Panavision widescreen, while One Battle After Another was filmed in VistaVision.

Sinners venues include the Regal Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, Calif., Harkins Arizona Mills 18 in Arizona Mills, Ariz., Cinemark Dallas in Dallas, Texas, and the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis, Ind.

One Battle After Another is currently only listing showtimes at the Regal Irvine Spectrum. The BFI IMAX in London will also screen the films.

Sinners opened in April and grossed $279 million in the United States and $367 million worldwide. It was re-released Oct. 30 for one week.

One Battle After Another opened Sept. 26. It has made $70 million in the United States and $202 million worldwide.

UPI praised Sinners in its review for writer/director Ryan Coogler's musical horror blend. Michael B. Jordan stars as twin gangsters who open a juke joint and fend off a vampire attack.

UPI also praised One Battle After Another's dark comedy. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a retired revolutionary trying to save his daughter (Chase Infiniti) from a military zealot (Sean Penn).
