The America's Got Talent judge was photographed returning to his London home on Friday afternoon from a nearby hospital, hours after falling down a flight of stairs, People reported.

Simon, who previously served as a judge on American Idol and also created The X Factor, was smiling and reportedly flashed a thumps up for the cameras on his front lawn.

"I've got a bit of concussion. I feel better now," Simon said while standing in his front door and thanking fans for their concern and support.

Simon, 58, had been rushed to the hospital in an ambulance in the early morning hours of October 27 after fainting and tumbling down the stairs in his home.

Simon was reportedly having trouble sleeping, so he woke up in the middle of the night and was heading downstairs to his kitchen for some warm milk.

His girlfriend, Lauren Silverman -- with whom he shares three-year-old son, Eric -- is now flying from New York City to London to be with him, according to People. Witnesses said she looked worried as she boarded her flight.

A source told the magazine that the entertainment mogul is concerned about whether he'll feel good enough to participate in Saturday night's live The X Factor broadcast in the U.K.

"I will be back," Simon confirmed on Friday, "but I don't know about tomorrow."

This past summer, Simon was forced to pull out of The X Factor's London auditions when he came down with a mystery illness, the U.K.'s The Sun reported.

His workaholic lifestyle had previously caused him to collapse from alleged nervous exhaustion as well.
