Sean Lowe wishes he had kept The Bachelor bachelorette Desiree Hartsock around a little longer.

"I wasn't sure how my heart would react seeing Des for the first time since our tearful goodbye in Los Angeles. I doubted my decision the night I sent her home, and a part of me still thinks I should have taken her to Thailand," Lowe wrote in his People blog.

Lowe faced Hartsock again during last night's The Bachelor: The Women Tell All broadcast with the memory of her emotional departure from the show in which she kept repeating he was making a huge mistake and would eventually regret sending her home.

Based upon Lowe's blog comment, Hartsock pretty much nailed it on the head. However, The Bachelor star apparently walked away from the television special with closure and satisfaction.

"I was so happy [Des] greeted me with a warm smile and told me it was good to see me. Although it didn't work out with us, she'll always have a place in my heart because she is such a lovable person. I know Des has moved on, and I'm hoping she gets a second chance at love -- maybe on the next season of The Bachelorette? She would definitely get my vote," Lowe explained.

Lowe may be onto something, as Hartsock is reportedly in "final talks" to be the star of the next edition of The Bachelorette. While Hartsock has not officially inked a deal to serve as the show's ninth-season star, an agreement is "close," according to E! News.

Hartsock was cut by Lowe during the show's February 18 broadcast after he visited the hometowns of his final four bachelorettes and met their families.
