After winning a TV talent contest, Lukas Rossi had no problem making the first album by Rock Star Supernova.

"I figured if I could get through (the TV show), I can do anything," said Rossi, a Canadian native who beat out 25,000 other hopefuls to land the front man spot in CBS's "Rock Star: Supernova" reality competition.

The group includes Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. Original bassist Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica, suffered a recent shoulder injury and has been replaced by ex-Black Crowes member Johnny Colt.

Rossi called his new gig "the best experience of my life" and says he approached making the group's self-titled debut with an attitude of "I'm gonna make sure I do it right. This record is a perfect reflection of that."
