Rob Kardashian has reportedly been diagnosed with diabetes after being rushed to the hospital, which will likely serve as a wake-up call for the former reality TV star, who's about 100 pounds overweight and struggles with depression.

Rob, 28, was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after the holiday weekend because he wasn't feeling well. According to Kardashian sources, doctors concluded Rob has diabetic ketoacidosis, which is Type 2 and means his body produces high levels of blood acids, TMZ reported.

"He's home already. He went for a little and is fine now. It was a wake up call," a source told E! News, adding that Rob was instructed to change his diet and exercise routine or else his condition will worsen.

Rob previously competed on Dancing with the Stars but has stayed away from the spotlight for over a year now. Rob has been too embarrassed to appear on camera for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and in a desperate attempt to do so, he's missed major events like his sister Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West.

Last night, Khloe Kardashian -- who has always stuck by Rob's side, even when he's been most rebellious -- shared a photo of herself looking pensive and gloomy. She captioned the image "melancholy" as headlines continued to pop up about her brother's health.

And just two weeks ago, Khloe posted a throwback photo of the two siblings on Instagram, showing her support and love.

"If only you could see yourself through my eyes! I'll forever be obsessed with you! My one and only! #MyAce," Khloe captioned the image.

Khloe also recently told People it's "infuriating" Rob hides from people and won't allow others to help him because he's such a "charming and charismatic" guy. However, she admitted he needs to "figure it out for himself."

In November, Rob's mother Kris Jenner confirmed her son was battling issues, but she clearly downplayed their significance.

"He's doing all right," Kris told E! News. "You know, he's doing his best. He's not into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he's working on himself. He's going to be okay."
