The Pauly D Project and Jersey Shore star has been meeting with E! about appearing in his own new reality series although MTV wants to renew The Pauly D Project for a second season, TMZ reported.

E! is reportedly very interested in signing on Delvecchio and therefore offering him a better financial deal, which is why the reality TV star is hesitating to stay with MTV -- the network he has been working with since 2009.

According to TMZ, Delvecchio has already met with E! executives three times and is close to inking a deal for a show that will not only chronicle his deejaying career but his life in general.

Delvecchio's representative has yet to comment on the matter.

MTV ordered The Pauly D Project in April 2011 and then premiered the series in late March of this year. The show followed Delvecchio's life away from Seaside Heights, NJ, and included his best friends from his home state of Rhode Island as he continued to pursue a career as a deejay in the hopes of becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry.
