Survivor's next setting is apparently close to being secured.

The long-running CBS reality series is currently close to confirming that its 21st season will take place in Nicaragua, Tourism Minister Mario Salinas told the country's The Nica Times newspaper in a recent report.

In addition, Salinas said an I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!-like Italian reality series recently began filming on Big Corn Island while Survivor's Spanish version -- dubbed Superviviente -- is also close to confirming Nicaragua as a filming destination for its next installment.

"These shows will have a very important [promotional] effect for the country in the U.S. and European markets," Salinas told The Nica Times.

CBS renewed Survivor for two additional installments -- representing its 21st and 22nd seasons -- in January.

It remains unclear if they will film as part of a back-to-back filming schedule similar to the one CBS used for last fall's Survivor: Samoa and the currently-airing Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, both of which shot last summer.
