English Teacher -- a comedy starring Brian Jordan Alvarez, Stephanie Koenig and Enrico Collantoni -- has been canceled after two seasons on FX.

Deadline, TVLine and The Hollywood Reporter reported the news Wednesday, but said no official reason has been given for the cable network's decision.

Alvarez created as well as starred in the show about a gay Texas high school teacher trying to balance his personal life and career.

Earlier this year, Alvarez was accused of sexually assaulting a collaborator in the 2010s.

He has denied any wrongdoing and FX said at the time that the complainant did not reach out directly to voice his concerns.
