The 35-year-old "America's Got Talent" host talked about his split from the 45-year-old singer in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in December 2014, and told DeGeneres he hasn't really dated since.

"I mean, I have friends and we hang out, but I'm not ready to do anything seriously, especially because I'm really trying to make sure can establish being in my kids' li[ves] and working," he shared. "I'm always so busy, so if I'm not working they're my No. 1 priority."

"I'm being celibate, I'm trying to work on myself," he said in response to DeGeneres' inquiry about "booty calls." "No sex right now."

Cannon and Carey married in 2008, and share 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. The former couple have stayed friendly since their split, and the actor said he'd even like to meet Carey's new boyfriend, Australian businessman James Packer.

"It's all about unconditional love," he said of his relationship with the singer. "[The kids] know Mommy and Daddy still love each other, but more importantly they love us."

Cannon and Carey spent Thanksgiving as a family, and celebrated Halloween together the month before. The actor previously told Good Morning America he, Carey and their children will "forever be family" shortly after filing for divorce.
