The 48-year-old reality star defended her decision to have a second nose job while appearing on Thursday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live."

"Yes, I had my nose done again," Leakes confirmed. "It was a real medical reason why I had to get it done again. My cartilage was growing in my nose and ... the tip of my nose was touching my lip when I smiled."

"I would never just do my nose just for the purpose of doing my nose," she asserted. "[The first time] was because I didn't love my nose and I wanted to do my nose to make it more beautiful for myself."

Leakes, who has also had liposuction and a breast lift, said she will "always keep it very, very real" and upfront about her plastic surgeries. The reality star admitted, however, that she's received "a lot" of negative comments about her procedures.

"People are constantly judging and picking people apart. It's absolutely horrible," she said. "I got my nose done, first of all, because I can and I will, and I will get it done again if I want to."

Leakes joked about the controversy in a vulgar tweet Friday, writing, "Everybody is so concerned about my nose but no one seems to care about my [expletive] implant!" The star also re-tweeted several positive messages from fans.

Leakes is best known for starring on the Bravo reality series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She left the show after Season 7 and presently serves as a judge on ABC's revival of "To Tell the Truth."
